With newfound enthusiasm, they realise the world can be their oyster and take pleasure in all its possibilities. There's much to celebrate during this exciting phase in your life!
Transformation & Empowerment
I am currently seeking 50 remarkable women aged 50 and over to participate in a magazine-style portrait session that will take them through transformation and empowerment.
The sessions will begin in July 2023, continuing right up until the end of this year. It concludes with a limited edition magazine featuring your portrait and an exclusive invitation-only celebration in Aberdeen.
If your 50th birthday falls between June 2023 and June 2024, then you’re in luck! You will qualify for this opportunity if your big day is coming up during this time period.
My aim is to capture the essence of who you are and present it through these portraits. I hope they will fill your heart with joy, love, and admiration as you look back on them.
And there is nothing more special than viewing an actual print which has captured that moment.
What's Included?
Discovery Session
It’s essential that my clients are fully comfortable when I am creating their portraits. That process begins before the shoot, through the discovery session. This will take place in person or over a Zoom call where I will ask you about what’s drawn you to this project and what aspects of yourself you want to reveal in your portraits.
Wardrobe Consultation
I want to create a look that will truly represent your style. Think of lace, sequins or other gorgeous materials as potential options that could make you stand out. For the session, we could go with something glam at first and finish up with a more casual approach.
Professional Makeover
We will make sure you look your best by pampering you with a fabulous hair and makeup experience for the shoot. I am so lucky to work with amazing hair and make up artists who will make you look and feel gorgeous.
90 Minute Guided Photo Session
This portrait session allows for two wardrobe changes, giving us plenty of opportunities to create the perfect portrait.
Most of my clients have expressed worry about having their pictures taken. They tend to think they won't look good, or that they need to slim down beforehand, and are anxious about the idea of being snapped.
It's only natural to have some jitters, so let me put you at ease. I'll take you through every pose; just show up and leave the rest to me!

A Little About Me
I know what it’s like to go through changes in my life. As a woman in her mid-forties, I have been lucky to have worked at home and abroad as a secondary school teacher, and now I’m going through a new and exciting phase in my life as a portrait photographer.
It’s been a personal goal of mine to truly embrace growing older. We are so lucky to be living in this era and we have so much to offer as we go through mid-life and beyond. I also love being a mentor to younger women while looking up to older women as my role models.
It is that sense of celebration and community which I hope to bring to the 50 over 50 Project.
